age group parents info
We have a lot of new people this year.
Here is some information to help you. I have added a total of 4 parents to help get two relays to each end of the pool. Parents of swimmers if you could help emphasize that they need to relay any information to the Age Group Parent (like going to the bathroom or getting food) and not run around outside of their area that would be helpful. It is hard when an AGP has to go looking for someone.
Age Group Parent
-Take roll call and ensure that all swimmers are present
-Mark swimmers arm with his/her events
Event/ Heat/Lane
-Mark swimmers' backs with name, age group
-Ask swimmers to stay in team area
-Organize swimmers bring to pool deck two events ahead and line up in appropriate lanes.
-Stay close especially with the younger swimmers until all heats have swum
-25's begin in the deep end
-50's and relays begin in the shallow end
Order of Medley Relay
1. Backstroke -line up in shallow end for 100 IM relay
2. Breaststroke-line up in the deep end for 100 IM relay
3.Butterfly-line up in the shallow end for 100 IM relay
4 Freestyle-line up in the deep end for 100 IM relay
Order of Freestyle Relay (100 free relay)
Swimmers 1 and 3 line up in shallow end
Swimmers 2 and 4 line up in deep end
Order of All Age Relay ( relay with 6 people)
6 and under, 10 and under 14 and under-line up in shallow end
8 and under, 12 and under, and 18 and under -line up in deep end
