Good Evening, Dolphin Families!

Our Qualifications meet is one week away on July 8th! We are so proud that most of our swimmers have achieved a qualifying time for this meet!

If you have not already please declare your swimmer/s availability for both the Qualifications and Championship meets! We may have the opportunity for swimmers who do not participate in Qualifications to swim in a relay at Championships. If you would like your swimmer to be considered for that opportunity, please declare their availability before Qualifications. However, we cannot guarantee a spot as relays will be based solely upon times.

Qualifications Information:

In order for your swimmer/s to be eligible for the Qualifications meet, they must have swam in at least two of the previous meets and achieved a qualifying time in at least one event this season. Although the majority of the Oldham County meet was cancelled, everyone who signed up received credit for participation.

The entries for Qualifications and Championships are limited per individual swimmer. Each swimmer will be limited to three individual events, excluding the 100m freestyle. If your swimmer has qualified in three or less events, the coaches will enter them in all of the events for which they have qualified. If your swimmer has qualified for more than three events, the coaches will enter them into the events where they believe they will have the most success.

We have attached an updated best times file to this email! If the time is highlighted in green, it is a qualifying time – congratulations! If the time is highlighted in red, it is not a qualifying time. If the cell was left grey, there was no time recorded for this season. The qualifying times for each event are listed at the top of each column and highlighted in blue. We hope this file will give you a better idea of what your swimmer/s may be competing in at the meets!

Volunteer Information:

If your child is swimming at Qualifications, you are required to volunteer at the meet. This same policy will apply for the Championship meet as well. This policy was outlined in the volunteer requirements during registration. The job signups for Qualifications are now open, so please go ahead and sign up if you know your child will be in attendance. We need all of our volunteers for this meet to run smoothly! We have had some open spots at our meets this season, and we want to thank each and every parent that stepped up last minute to help us out!

Practice Changes:

There will be NO practice on July 4th in observance of the holiday. We will be holding an additional practice on the morning of Monday, July 7th to prepare for the Qualifications meet. The practice time will be from 9-11am, with 6u and 8u practice from 9-10am and the older swimmers from 10-11am.

Pasta Dinner and Banquet:

The RSVP’s are open for both the Pasta Dinner and the end of the season Banquet. If you have not already, please submit whether or not you will be in attendance. Also, the Signup Genius for door prizes for the banquet is also available on SwimTopia!
