Good Afternoon, Dolphin Families!

Championship Information:

The Championship meet is this Saturday, July 12th at the Oldham County Aquatic Center, it is about 20 minutes away from WST. Warmups will be at 7:20am that morning, we would like it if everyone could try and get there around 7am. There are alternates for every event, and we must be able to have them ready to swim if people are absent.

The meet will start promptly at 8am, but Clerk of Course will start lining up swimmers prior to the start time. Clerk of Course ensures that each swimmer is in the correct heat and lane for the meet. The swimmers must go through Clerk of Course to swim their events. If they are not present, an alternate may be put in their place. Please make sure that your swimmer is lining up when they are called to Clerk of Course.

Championship Heat Sheet:

We are hoping to have the final heat sheet to send out to everyone tomorrow morning!

Individual Entries:

Swimmers who placed in the top 16 for each individual event at Qualifications have moved on to the Championship meet!

Relay Entries:

We have multiple swimmers who are entered into a relay event, but are not swimming in an individual event. We have attached a document with a list of swimmers that this applies to, so please check if your swimmer is on this list. We have also emailed those to whom this applies. If your swimmer cannot attend, please let us know ASAP.

Alternates:

There are alternates for almost every individual event and relay event at the Championship meet. The individual alternates are the 17th and 18th place swimmers from the Qualifications meet. The relay alternates are swimmers who indicated they were available, and are the next fastest times. We have attached a document with all of the alternates, from our team, to this email. Please check the document and see if your child is an alternate. Alternates are expected to come to the Championship meet! If for some reason your swimmer will not be able to attend and they are an alternate, let us know ASAP as we may be able to allow another child to be an alternate.

Volunteer Requirements:

If your swimmer is swimming in the Championship meet, you are required to volunteer. The job signup is open and we have many spots to fill, so please sign up!
